Scuba Diving

Below the waves is as magical as above — St. Barth has a healthy and rich reef which makes the waters around St. Barth perfect for Scuba Diving.

The waters are well-preserved in part because of the unique geological features around the island, the waters between St. Barths and St. Martin are no deeper than 30 metres — meaning large numbers of colourful reef fish and less larger fish. Divers will find structures, caves and even shipwrecks to explore on their trip.

Where? The best diving is around Pain de Sucre, an islet located close to Gustavia harbor, Coco Islet and l’Ane Rouge, off Colombier bay.
You can join diving groups with @stbarthplongee or @serial_divers, even if you have never done it before.

This is the most popular beach in St. Barth, thanks to its convenient location and plethora of beachfront hotels, restaurants, and other activities.

Like all of St. Barth's beaches it has white sand, and the calm waters make for good snorkeling. The Eden Rock resort, built on a rocky prominence, splits the beach in two.
Lie back and watch the occasional plane take off and land at the island's nearby airport.

Or ask our concierge team to organize fresh pastries delivery to your villa.

Car Rental on the island

Imagine a Mediterranean French village – for instance, Eze, with its breathtaking sea view from above.
Located on the hillside, it can be reached only by transportation.

St. Barth is the same way.
A volcanic origin of the island made it hilly, veined by the few serpentine roads. A trip around St. Barth by car takes 45 minutes. Most walking on the island is for the sport purposes – hikes to the secluded parts of St. Barth.
St. Barth has neither establishments for mass visitors, nor public transportation. The only transportation on the island is a private car. MINI Cabrio Cooper comes highly recommended due to its power.

Toiny – a wild side of St. Barth

St. Barth is undoubtedly a place where you get the chance to touch the nature, speak with nature, and learn from nature. This tiny island has so much to admire and to enjoy.

Gustavia⠀

Every first Sunday of the month local market offers handmade souvenirs and home-cooked food from the local “artists” who convey the flavor of the island through their creativity.
The most atmospheric places to try are:⠀
⁃ La Cantina @cantina_sbh - special breakfasts only during Market Sundays;
⁃ Cafe La Gloriette @rhumlagloriette - in order to enter you need to walk to the Anglican Church first. But the tasty delicious coffee and acai bowls are so worth the walk. They are known to have the most delicious rum on the island - made fresh by the cafe. You can choose between man flavors like passion fruit, coffee or coconut.
St Bartholomew’s Anglican Church

St. Barth Beaches

Incredible Shell Beach
Being one of the most unusual beaches in the world, Shell Beach literally charms with its appearance. The beach is covered with millions of unique shells. 🐚
Located within a short walk from Gustavia harbor, Shell Beach became a place for the weekend festivities.
Make yourself comfortable, relax and watch the most beautiful sunset…
Besides watching the sunset and tourists’ favorite shell collecting, another popular activity here is cliff diving.

Island Hopping

Take a boat to the neighboring Anguilla. This island is popular for its long, snow-white beaches. We suggest Rendezvous Bay and Shoal Bay.

St. Barth Local Tips

Visit the fish market in Gustavia. The fishermen here offer an excellent dorado or mahi-mahi, as well as tuna. You can also buy a fresh lobster

Natural Swimming Pools

Swim in unique natural pools. At the beaches of Grand Fond and Grand-Cul-de-Sac the wind has dug our natural swimming pools, always heated by the sun — you’ll get the same pleasure as if you were taking a warm bath, but with incomparable view.

Cocktails

Discover the secret Rhum Room — the greatest rhum bar in the Caribbean with the largest collection of rhums agricoles. Degustation in Rhum Room is a unique Caribbean tasting experience.

Colombier Beach

Colombier Beach tends to be one of St. Barth's most deserted stretches of sand because it can only be reached by boat from Gustavia or via a half-hour hike from Flamands Beach. Also known as Rockefeller Beach, Colombier is worlds away from the island's bustling capital, with calm waters, good snorkeling, and privacy aplenty.
This beach lacks services, so bring plenty of drinks, snacks, and other beach supplies if you plan to spend the day.
